As a leading pool and spa builder for over 40 years, it means you benefit from Sunrise Pools’ highly efficient and streamlined pool design and build process that puts you first and adheres to the highest standards.

Importantly, our inground concrete pool design and installation process has been devised by a qualified structural engineer – founder Peter Moore – and actioned by a highly experienced and skilled team to create beautiful, structurally sound and low maintenance pools, spas, design features and surrounds.

Many of our clients remark on our team’s professionalism, friendliness and reliability as well as their attention to detail, willingness to take the time to address any concerns and explain each stage throughout the build.

“Our whole project was handled with such a professional and personal service that is very hard to find.”

Stage 1: Our Pool Design Process

We work closely with you to create an inground concrete pool and spa that meets your needs, both aesthetic and practical, and makes the most of your site and its aspect and views.

At our first meeting, we discuss pool and spa designs

We visit your home to discuss your preferences and design and lifestyle requirements and assess your site to enable us to plan your pool and spa and suggest features, finishes, landscaping and the latest easy-care options.

You can choose a pool or spa design from our Inspiration Gallery or together we can create a unique custom design.

Our most popular inground concrete pool and spa styles include traditional or classic rectangle, plunge, multi-sided geometric, family-friendly, wet edge, free-form, lap, and integrated or separate spas and swim spas. All can be finished in a smooth hardwearing pebble or ceramic or glass tiles – the choice is yours.

We can also customise these pool designs with:

  • Feature walls, water cascades, waterfalls, ledges, benches, swim outs, entry step areas and retaining walls with built-in planter boxes
  • Altering the pool shape, such as adding a curve to one side or a rounded end
  • Creating a combination pool such as a rectangular family pool integrated with a lap section or an integrated spa – or both.

Stage 2: Our Pool Build Process

“We’re delighted with the end result – the entire project from start to finish was for us

angst free.”

Our experienced and skilled team adhere to the highest construction standards and apply attention to detail, efficiently project managing every stage of your new pool and spa installation including:

Site preparation

We remove trees and shrubs and any structures such as sheds and play equipment within the new pool and spa’s site.

Excavation and erection of temporary fencing

We excavate the site and, if needed, organise the relocation of plumbing. We also erect temporary safety fencing.

Preliminary plumbing is installed

We install any pipework and in-floor plumbing for your new pool and spa.

“Your reliability and professional workmanship was flawless.”

Formwork is laid

This is for the pool and spa structures and surrounds in preparation for the concrete.

Inspections are organised

This is to obtain approval from your local council, certifier or sewer inspector.

Pool structure and surrounds take shape

Concrete is poured or sprayed for the swimming pool and spa and surrounds that will be paved.

Fencing and features are finalised

While the concrete cures (about 28 days), we conduct a measurement of the pool fence (ensuring compliance with your local council requirements) and finalise your chosen pool and spa finishes.

Tiles and finishes are installed

Your choice of interior pool finish – ceramic or glass mosaic tiles, waterline tiles or pebble – is installed.

 Underwater pool lights are fitted

We offer a choice of quality pool LED lights, including multi-colour lights that can be programmed to change colour or set to one colour.

 Water treatment equipment is installed

This includes your choice of the latest quality brand pump, filter and chlorinator.

The pool and spa area coping and paving are laid

We lay your choice of coping, which becomes the edge of the pool, pavers or decking.

The fence is installed and inspected

We install your choice of metal or semi or frameless glass fencing.

Your new pool and spa are filled with water and the water is balanced

This is the final stage of the build process, where we hand over your new pool and spa.
