Glenhaven Concrete Raised Spa
The 2.5m x 2.5m spa has been raised to overlook the pool and provide a distinctive design element, in addition to enabling users to enjoy views over the landscaped areas and contemporary home.
The spa is fully tiled, and surrounded in black granite, which integrates with the swimming pool and design elements featured in the outdoor kitchen, landscaped garden and feature walls. It also features a full perimeter wet edge, flowing into the pool. The ambience is enhanced by LED lighting, and the spa has gas heating and an in-floor cleaning system.
Set within the pool’s structure, the spa is higher than the pool’s water level, and is flanked on two sides by timber decking (which also conceals the pool and spa equipment).Glass fencing enables clear vistas over the landscaped areas and through to the home’s indoor and outdoor living spaces.
As with the pool, the spa was built into solid rock, with construction being carried out in two strategic stages. Preparatory work was undertaken before construction of the house, with the spa and pool being completed once the house had been finished.
