Dural Inground Wet Edge Pool

Set within the semi-rural environment of Dural, near Sydney’s Hills District, this 13m x 5m pool has been designed to enhance the expansive alfresco area and take advantage of the panoramic views.

With depths ranging from 1m to 1.7m, the pool abuts the outdoor living/kitchen area and features a 5m x 1m wet edge with balance tank. The location of the wet edge enables pool users to enjoy the lawns and undulating land beyond.

The fully tiled pool provides a stunning contrast with the lush green environment, with lighter blue tiles used for the interior and a darker blue to delineate the waterline.

As the pool is a key feature of the home, 4 blue LED underwater lights were installed to illuminate the pool at night, with glass fencing ensuring the view over the pool and the landscape aren’t obstructed.

To complement the colour palette of the home’s exterior walls and columns, not to mention the outdoor kitchen, light-coloured stone pavers were used extensively for the poolscape, sun terrace and wider alfresco area.

Ease of maintenance was also a consideration, and the 90,000L pool features in-floor cleaning and pump system, an electronic chlorinator and pH balance system with sensors, and an automatic water leveller. Solar heating was also the ideal choice, given the home’s aspect and location.
